For every movement there is an opposing force/action/holding pattern. This is what builds awareness. Without awareness there is potential for injury. Learning from awareness leads us to focus on the present, to live in the present, to appreciate what is in front of us and to build a healthy balance with our actions based on what we find.

Poses to practice - Warrior II with a partner. Note you do not want to "pull your partner over" and cause him/her to have to work hard to offset your efforts. You want to balance your tug/weight with the tug/weight of your partner - then the pose provides traction, space, release and healing.
