About

Join us for a deep dive into The Mother Sequence, a beautifully balanced practice designed to honor and maintain the body’s natural movement patterns. Rooted in the wisdom of yoga master Jehangir Palkhivala, a devoted student of B.K.S. Iyengar, this sequence blends strength, flexibility, and meditative awareness to cultivate both physical vitality and inner stillness.

Named in tribute to the Mother of Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry, India, this practice has provided profound comfort and healing to many. With an intentional mix of grounding postures, energizing stretches, and mindfulness practices, The Mother Sequence supports the body's innate ability to move with ease while promoting deep mental focus. Whether you're looking to build resilience, restore balance, or simply deepen your connection to your practice, this session offers a holistic approach to well-being—one that nourishes both body and soul. Note this is an intermediate practice yet will be taught with many preparations to suit beginners. This practice involves Sun Salutations, 5 Tibetans, 2 standing poses, 2 seated poses, 4 inversions, core work and more, with preparations and options to suit all who are able to get up and down from the floor.  Take this sequence to your personal practice for a journey to empowered movement and mind-body resilience.
