WORKSHOP

The Science of Tension Release:

Breath, Fascia & Nervous System Reset

About

Tension lives in the body—but it can also be released.

This two-hour workshop explores the science and practice of releasing deeply held tension through an integrated approach combining yoga therapy, fascia-based somatic movement, breathwork, and TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises).

Drawing from both modern research and embodied practices, you’ll learn how stress, posture, injury, and lived experience can become stored within the body—and how specific tools can help support safe, gradual release of tension to restore function, freedom of movement and nervous system regulation.

Through a guided and supportive process, you’ll explore how to work with the body—not force it—using techniques that build awareness, restore mobility, and invite a sense of ease.

This is not about pushing or re-living the past. It’s about understanding your body’s signals and learning how to respond with skill and care.

What is TRE®?

TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) is a series of simple, gentle exercises designed to activate the body’s natural tremor response—a mechanism that can help release deep muscular patterns of stress and tension.

In this workshop, you’ll be introduced to TRE® in a grounded, accessible way, with clear guidance, options, and an emphasis on self-regulation and choice.
